Nutritional supplements are needed for those who having Down syndrome children because it will help them to overcome some of the problems for example for talking process which it helps actually a Down syndrome person to stay healthy.   Vitamins are one the best supplementation with both single vitamins and vitamin mixtures have been studied in children with Down syndrome. The present supplements tend to use RDA values, although levels of vitamin A high enough to be toxic are still occasionally promoted. Then followed by minerals with several studies have shown zinc and selenium serum levels are decreased among children with Down syndrome. There is no information on possible adverse effects of chronic zinc and selenium supplementation. No other mineral has been found either lacking or helpful in Down syndrome.  Hence, Amino acid supplements can cause an unpleasant odour in the user's urine and sweat. Antioxidants has been known for many years that one of the genes over expressed in Down syndrome is the one producing superoxide dismutase (SOD).  Parents should aware with how to handle with the supplements that should Down syndrome children aware with. Give them chances to stay healthy and always happy with their life. They just need to take some healthy food. Trained them from small to eat those healthy food.

There are myth and truth for Down syndrome which Down syndrome is a rare disorder. The truth is Down syndrome is the most commonly occurring genetic condition. Than the myth is about Down syndrome affects hereditary that occurs in families. The truth is Down syndrome is approximately 1% of all instances. 99% cases Down syndrome is completely random and the only known factor that increases the risk is the age of the mother too that over 35 years old. Hence this is not because of heredity that influenced. It is because age number did give some impact.

It shows that nowadays down syndrome are living longer that 80's

Down's Syndrome diagnosis and Treatment

These are the treatment for them as to make them happy like normal

So,we will know when we have Down Syndrome baby when a couple is having a baby, there’s a lot to think about, including the condition. There are two types of tests for Down Syndrome when the doctor tells the baby’s risk, and the other diagnoses Down syndrome.
Go for screening tests can estimate which it can estimate about the chances of having down syndrome baby but somehow doctor can’t tell for sure if our baby has it or not. The results should be explained as “You have a 1 in 1,000 chance of having a baby with Down syndrome,” or “Your baby has a 1 in 250 chance of having Down syndrome.”
Doctors may look at the blood test along with findings from ultrasound images of the developing baby. Some of the measurements could be accurate when start detect the extra fluid. Screening tests includes combined first trimester screen which is usually done between 9 and 13 weeks of pregnancy. It’s a blood test that measures levels of a certain pregnancy hormone and a protein made by the unborn baby and mother, along with an ultrasound. When looked at together, this screening test is about 82% to 87% accurate. Then, second trimester triple screen where the blood test measures hormone and protein levels along with estriol, a hormone made by the mother and the unborn baby. It’s about 69% accurate.Next second trimester quad screen which combines the triple screen with a test that looks at another hormone made by the placenta called inhibin-A. It can accurately predict about 81% of Down syndrome cases. Then integrated screening which includes the combined first trimester screen and the second trimester quad screen. Together, this combination can identify about 94% to 96% of cases of Down syndrome.
Another screening test appears to be more accurate than the others. Called cell-free DNA (cfDNA), it finds small fragments of fetal DNA floating in the mother’s blood and tests them. It can be done after 10 weeks of pregnancy. But these tests are still in development and can sometimes give false results.
There's no cure for Down syndrome. But children with the condition can lead happy, productive lives. They still want to live like normal people although they have trouble learning but still they need to learn the basic skills such as sitting, walking, talking and self care.

First time at secondary school. Live like normal person by attending school

Children with Down syndrome attend school, and many join regular classes. There are laws to help a child with Down syndrome get special placement or extra help. They can, and do, take an active part in various activities in their communities.
Some adults with Down syndrome live with their families. Some live in group homes with other people with Down syndrome. Others live independently. Many people with Down syndrome hold jobs. The opportunities for people with Down syndrome are great, and there is no reason not to expect them to make lasting, positive contributions to society.

Learning how to make things like other normal kids do

Down Syndrome has it's own uniqueness...

This shows that a girl who 13 years old. She sang a song originally intended for family and friend, the footage shows Madison, wearing pink and singing into a microphone, singing the Legend song. Shots of her, are interspersed with info about Down's Syndrome
“The idea was to show somebody who has Down's and is incredibly high functioning, and dispel some of the myths that are out there about people with special needs,” To that end, he added, Madison remembered each of the song's 348 words.“It felt really good. It was a big relief for me,” Madison added. The family has made the decision to let the comments – both positive and negative - unfold below Madison’s video and on social media. They feel it’s important to let a discussion happen around Down’s - for better, or worse.(The Telegraph,2015)  She received lots of positive comments from audience who had watched the video. Eventhough she can't really pronounce words properly but still she can sing well.. This really motivates me to be thankful always and not blaming fate. I felt touched when I hear she sings because she really express her feelings without bothering about what people will think about her.
Her families are lucky to have a daughter like that, Being abnormal is somehow better than being a normal. By the way this little girl here have high self confidence by singing her idol song. John Legend did give impact to this teenage down syndrome girl here.

Families View And Feelings

Alhamdulillah..... based on my experience to get my little sister in our life as one family is not a big deal. We don't feel burden as this is a Test from god to test his Servant. At first it's quite a shocked for my mother because her daughter have down syndrome symptom but then my mother is the strongest person because she don't care how her daughter is but as long as her daughter is safe and healthy. Instead of my mother,my grandmother also play her role well. Sometimes, it's hard to say when other people surrounding are making jokes of my sister because she is like that. For me my little sister has her own specialities as she is the special one in my life.
This shows that I accept her in my life and she should give chances to live like other normal kids.

Love a mother towards her daughter and always be.

This photo describes how they really accept a down syndrome children as a part of their life.

Down Syndrome Association

People nowadays need to be realized about person who having this kind of symptom where actually shows that society are actually cared for children who are having Down syndrome. As for me, I come from Penang and I have attend one of these organization which is Penang Down Syndrome Association where it helps out for those who have just having these kind of children. This is helping these kinds of children in various ways. As for my experience which I have been to PDSA (Penang Down Syndrome Association) bring my little sister since she was baby because that place provide few activities and training for these kind of children. For instance, PDSA had done some therapy massages for Down syndrome babies. This helps special children do various activities that give impact towards them click here to find out more for the activities.  file:///C:/Users/Public/Documents/DSA%20Penang%20-%20Home.html I used to join this organization because my little sister used to be one of the members that active in PDSA and still now active.
Last few months PDSA created an event for these special children. It is world down syndrome day that been held at Kuala Lumpur and my grandmother and my sister went there. There are lots of activities for these special children for instance dancing competition,"acara sukaneka" and many more.
At PDSA these children were trained how to manage themselves for example when they should go to toilet and what for ? Everything need to be teaches as they are slow learner and not like normal kids that can think by themselves.
